You’re engaged! Now what?

The wedding planning begins. Vendors, venues, wedding party, location, oh my! All the decisions that need to be made for the two of you to celebrate together.

You’re excited to celebrate your love with your partner, absolutely! You’re looking forward to the day when you can start to say, “we are married”. It’s a huge milestone!

The wedding is a big event to commemorate the relationship you’ve cultivated thus far. You get to gather together with people who matter most with you to share in taking a step into the next chapter: marriage.

Marriage is that time to deepen your love and get to share life together on different levels.

Did you add in premarital coaching into your wedding planning?

In the stress and chaos of planning the event to commemorate your relationship, it’s important to make space for your relationship and prepare for the next chapter.

Premarital coaching is an opportunity to support the relationship emotionally through solidifying a secure foundation and creating a deeper connection.

It’s a time to fill in any gaps, improve communication, build upon your strengths as a couple, and get clear on any areas of growth.

Here’s a toast to you and your marriage! You’ve landed on this page for a reason. Perhaps there’s somethings you want to clarify within your relationship. Maybe this is a time to validate and confirm what you already have together. This can also be a way to proactively ensure you have the skills in your relationship to get through whatever conflict, challenges, or issues that will inevitably arise in life.

What is Premarital Coaching?

Premarital Coaching is a set of time for you to work with a practitioner qualified in marriage counseling and relationship coaching to plan for married life.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Christy offers the background, education, and experience to hold a supportive space for engaged couples and newlyweds looking to be proactive in their relationship.

Who is it for?

  • Premarital Coaching is for couples looking to solidify their relationship as they prepare for married life.
  • If you are a couple who already has strong communication, great! Let’s add to that. Take it a step further to discuss sexual and financial expectations.
  • This is for you if you’re interested in learning more skills to connect deeper in your relationship.
  • Couples who are ready to do the work that is required to create safety and security with one another in specific areas of your life.
  • If you desire the opportunity to take time out of your busy schedules to dedicate to your relationship, premarital coaching is for you.
  • You’ve done your own work and want to get some professional feedback and support.

“Beginnings are always ripe with possibilities, for they hold the promise of completion. Through love we imagine a new way of being. You see me as I’ve never seen myself. You airbrush my imperfections, and I like what you see. With you, and through you, I will become that which I long to be. I will become whole. Being chosen by the one you chose is one of the glories of falling in love.”
